Vaccination Service
We have a dedicated consultation room for your privacy and comfort.
We are proud and very excited to provide our customers a vaccination service.
Under New South Wales regulation and authorisation our appropriately trained pharmacists are able to administer yearly influenza vaccines for adults and children over 10 , measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) and diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (whooping cough)(dTpa) vaccines to people over 16.
Rest assured that our vaccinating pharmacists are appropriately trained and hold current first aid and CPR certificates as well as how to deal with the rare
event of an anaphylaxis. If you have an egg allergy it is safe to have the flu shot.

We have a dedicated consultation room for your privacy and comfort when performing vaccinations just like any doctor's surgery.
All vaccines administered in a pharmacy will attract a cost to the customer. However, for certain people some of these vaccines are funded by the NSW Health or are part of the National Immunisation Program (NIP) and hence are free of charge only from your GP.

Things to know about Influenza and the Flu shot.
Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for all persons aged 6 months and over (unless contraindicated). This will reduce your chance of becoming ill with influenza meaning you may still contract influenza but with milder symptoms preventing you from presenting at your family doctor or better yet hospital admission.
The flu shot will not prevent the flu if you are incubating the disease before vaccination or if it is caused by another virus. So, if you experience flu symptoms soon after you have had the flu shot it is because you have contracted the flu just prior.
The way the flu vaccine is designed means that it is impossible to contract the flu after vaccination (myth buster).
The flu shot only gives you 3 to 4 months of maximum protection and takes about 2 weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop to provide you with protection against the flu. Generally the peak flu season in Sydney is surprisingly during the months of August and September, sometimes earlier depending on the year.
You should plan to have the flu shot during mid to late Autumn unless told to do so earlier by your doctor.
It is never too late to have the flu shot anytime during the year and it is possible to have the flu shot twice during the year if indicated by your doctor.
